As someone who manages accounts for multiple cannabis brands / dispensaries on Instagram, it seems inconsistent what causes IG to take down certain posts. According to Meta’s rules on cannabis accounts (Restricted Goods and Services | Transparency Center), the only rules for cannabis accounts are: Do not promote sales of cannabis products. Do not advertise to or target minors. I’ve had accounts taken down that clearly followed these rules. Sometimes, Instagram allows us to post pictures and videos of our products, our gardens, and consumption without issues. Other times, we post pictures of our flower products and it gets taken down – or worse yet, it gets our entire account suspended. Am I doing anything wrong here? Are there any additional rules we should be following on Meta-owned social media platforms?
